Story Wisdom at the Red Door
“..all that we might ever need, is still whispering in the bones of story.”

Come and meet some wise and beguiling friends of mine: Old Stories. These folktales and myths are a wondrous bunch and they have warming and wise medicine for our aching hearts and turmoiled world.
In the oral tradition, stories are shared from the heart, not memorised or ‘performed’, and the stories are fresh and different every time they come out to play.
There is much more to a story than the surface suggests. As we listen, we feel, sense and intuit where the story speaks to us. Old stories are deeply symbolic and archetypal, and help us go underneath our habituated way of inhabiting our lives.
And be warned: some of these stories are wild, cheeky, transformative. You might see your life through a wolf’s eyelash, and this could turn your world upside down and inside out, beckoning you to a deeper story, a deeper life, underneath…
