About Anahata Giri
I am a soul tender, circle weaver, facilitator, mother, poet, storyteller, yoga teacher and apprentice to love and to the river of life. The soul work I offer is an experiential blend of soul-based practice, embodied practice, nature-based practice, heart alchemy including old story medicine, grief work and sacred wound work, creative expression and sacred activism.
I am dedicated to the ongoing craft of attuning to the mystery of soul. I draw inspiration and guidance from: immersions with soul guides from the Animas Valley Institute; Bill Plotkin’s books and ongoing mentoring with AVI guide Laura Gunion; the soul storytelling work of Clarissa Pinkola Estes and ongoing work with my story mentor and friend Vas Clementine.
I have a background in environmental activism, outreach work in the domestic violence field, qualifications in Somatic Psychotherapy, Yoga Therapy and Community Development and a 30 year path exploring personal, spiritual, soulful and social transformation. In 2022 I became a certified Purpose Guide with the Purpose Guides Institute.
In 2021, on a solo quest fasting in nature, I had a powerful soul encounter that revealed a mythic expression of my soul-self. This has apprenticed me to revolutionary love and soul wisdom and fired my commitment to serve this precious web of life.

I live in Melbourne with my beloveds: partner, son and our dog. I love reading, writing, singing, dancing, being and walking in nature, following birdsong…
