Singing Over the Bones
a day of stories and soul-tending
“The craft of questions, the craft of stories, the craft of the hands - all these are the making of something, and that something is soul.”
Come with your deepest questions, come to meet old and wise animate beings called stories, come with curiosity to see what will be created through you.
We will stay close to the story’s images, characters and symbols that resonate in our tuning fork listening bodies. We will feel our way and “feed the stories” by: speaking what is resonant; making with our hands and exploring creativity in a no-expectation-see-what-happens way with drawing, free flow writing and nature art making; and being in circle together.
With themes of belonging and becoming, shape-shifting and transformation, grief and longing, calling and initiation, these old stories offer potent medicine for women. As we feed the stories with something of ourselves we open to the gentle yet transformative medicine and magic that stories offer.
You might just meet a story who is a guide, trickster, wild alchemist who has just the right gifts for this next phase of your soulful becoming.

She gathers bones of grief and joy, the bones of what she loves most of all. She sings bones awake.
Singing Over the Bones Part 1 - Sunday 12 October 10.00am-4.30pm
From the vast cycle of birth, death and rebirth woven by the Old Woman and the Raven, to the deep underwater shape-shifting of the Selkie seal-woman, to the Bone Woman gathering bones, we will search in the desert, enter dark caves and dive into deep waters. Maybe we will sing over the bones of what we love most of all.
Singing Over the Bones Part 2 - Saturday 15 November 10.00am-4.30pm
What does seeing through a wolf’s eyelash evoke? What can fox-woman, fox dreaming show us? Do you dare to visit the fearsome Baba Yaga whose house moves around the dark forest on chicken legs? Be a little bit afraid as together we go into the dark woods and bogs and uncover what gives us courage, authenticity and sovereignty.
For the full banquet of stories you are invited to come along to both workshops, but each day is a stand alone meal so you also can come to either of the single workshops.
